|
Initial Plan
With the construction of a new Yankee Stadium, and revisions to the
original Parkland Replacement Plan, the current Yankee Stadium,
"The House that Ruth Built," is slated for complete demolition. |

The Initial Plan that was presented during the press conference on
August 18, 2005, and in subsequent articles and documents, revealed that
various parts of the Stadium infrastructure were to be retained, along
with the original playing field - the "hallowed grounds."
The original plan included one baseball field to be located on the
existing Stadium site, two baseball/softball fields to be located along
the Harlem River and tennis courts (including a winter "bubble") to be
constructed on top of parking garage C. |
